Packaging Update...

Greetings Most Honorable Backers!
I've been told if I'm not showing pictures of the packaging and shipping, I'm not really Kickstartering, so here are a couple...
Having said that, even though I have a truly awesome team working with me, things are going slower than I originally anticipated. There are a number of reasons for this, partially because of the previous delays pushing this far out into summer, but mostly because of all the variations in these orders and the decision to roll up all the scrolls instead of folding them. Good news they will be rolled. Bad news is it takes forever to roll them and then also work out the best way to ship them rolled. We're making steady progress though, and I anticipate stuff starting to go out the door relatively soon.
We have also discovered a handful more quality issues, so I will need to redo a handful of books. By handful I mean approximately 40 out of 1000, but they are an important 40. We're going to keep moving forward with the shipping, especially the larger orders, but ultimately a small number of folks will have a week or two delays in exchange for a better final book in your hands.
Again, in the end I hope you will all feel this is worth it, and be as happy with the final products as we are.
And THANK YOU!!

Hey Awesome Backer People, I had a request for more pictures of the packaging and shipping in progress, so why not...
And while we're here, the books are almost completely wrapped and ready to go into boxes, which, is a lot more work than it probably sounds like. This weekend will have a whole lotta packing going on...

Locking addresses in next 48 hrs

Amazing Backer-folk!
I've gotten several questions about changing addresses, so I sent out a specially generated email that allows every backer to change their addresses in the next 48 hours, and in 48 hrs it will automatically lock down all the addresses and those will be the ones we ship to. The email should have a link in it that lets you go back to the survey to make the changes.
Hopefully it is easy for everyone and works like it is supposed to. If you don't get the email, or can't change your address, send me a Kickstarter message with the address you need it changed to within the next 48 hours.
And now, back to prepping the shipping...

Well wonderful Backers, I know it has been a long time in coming, but the news you are all wanting to hear... is finally here...
All the books, scrolls, and other schtuff are finally complete!
We'll be moving everything to where we will be shifting to packing stuff up and shipping, although there will be a tiny short break over the July 4th weekend.
If you need to update your address and haven't already, please do so this week. We will lock down the addresses as the last part of the process.
So there you have it. As we enter the home stretch, we will hopefully get through all the steps to get things out the door relatively quickly, and get you your books as soon as we can.
Thank you all for your patience, and I can tell you for sure that I am happy that we're moving into this final stage.
Another Production Update

Dear You Most Amazing Backers...
Going to cut right to the chase: Short version, we're looking at end of June to ship now. I hate having to give that sort of news, but we had some minor quality issues we had to either correct or redo completely (some of the leather covers came out too light, some of the stamps weren't deep enough) and we had some delays getting some of our supplies shipped internationally and a few minor, isolated, but notable instances of Covid popping up again, you get the idea. In this type of operation, quality issues are significant events and can take a lot of time to redo or fix. All that aside, we are, however, still so very close to being able to shift from production to packaging and shipping. I hesitate to keep giving dates in fear of them pushing out again, but I also don't think it is fair if I don't commit, so I'm going to try to keep shipping happening in June.
In the meantime, I find looking at large stacks of books soothing, so I will share...
