PDFs Delivered + Overall Production Updates!

Alrighty you amazing Backers, I'm incredibly happy to deliver the PDF for De Arcanis Tenebris!  You can go to your BackerKit downloads page and download the PDF directly, and you should also get a separate email about it.

Production Updates

Getting to the end of the next leg of the process is our primary focus now, and we are making books at a steady, continuous pace.

For example

  •  Polygraphie - All books completed
  •  De Furtivis Literanrum - All books completed
  •  The Fourth Book of Occult Philosophy - All books completed
  •  Rapheal's Book of Talismans - All books completed
  •  Demonality - All books completed

Plus we have these bookmarks all done and on hand

Sample Bookmark

Having said that, and what you really want to know, is when will it all be done and ready to ship?   Right now, we're currently estimating all books and scrolls etc. will be completely done by probably mid May if we don't hit any snags.  Metal bits on books can be particularly frustrating, for example, and sometimes the leather dye colors come out completely off from the plan.  However, I still think we can start shipping by the end of May at this point.  At the absolute worse case scenario, there is a chance it might bleed into June as we shift from production to packaging and shipping, which, when you do it by hand, is also a difficult transition.

For now, enjoy the PDF of De Arcanis Tenebris! I hope you like reading it as we hurry to get you the hardcopy as quickly as we can.

Revised estimated schedule
almost 3 years ago – Sat, Jan 08, 2022 at 09:14:12 PM

Hello Bestest Backers!

I've gotten a number of requests for timeline updates, so here's what I know.  Since we've opened up all the books from past Kickstarters, we're looking at approximately 1000 books across 15 different book types.  We're also looking at about 1000 scrolls.  That is both awesome and also beyond the initial scope of the project.  Figuring all that will need to go into adjusting for that, I now estimate that production will wrap up around mid April, and shipping will happen in May.

All the prototypes have gone well, and production is well underway.  I am also planning on the next video being a chapter by chapter summation of the core book, and then shortly after that I'm going to see if we can get the pdfs out to all the appropriate levels so you can all preview what is coming.

Hopefully that is good news overall, and I will continue to give updates as I have them...

Here's to a great 2022!!

Final Prototypes Complete!
almost 3 years ago – Mon, Nov 29, 2021 at 09:06:06 PM

Hello awesome amazing backers!

Just a quick note to show you some progress on the final prototypes.

What changed?

1) I went in and moved a lot of the marginalia from the interior of the pages (near the spine) to the middle or exterior of the pages (near the edge) which looks better and keeps anything from getting lost in the binding.

2) We dialed back the aging of the pages quite a bit.  The results?

  • You can read the pages much better, particularly the brown ink, and honestly I like this look a lot better.
  • Apparently the pages absorb a lot of the liquids used in the aging process, so with less of it, the pages weigh less and are thicker.  So now the whole book is thicker, and the pages are more rough feeling (which I love) and less smooth.

And also, here's what the final map looks like...

More updates as we have them... :)
